WORKSHOP: Wheat Initiative Agronomy EWG

The Wheat Agronomy Expert Working Group of the Wheat Initiative is organizing a workshop on wheat agronomy with a perspective on mechanisms and funding for international collaboration and coordination.

The main goal of the morning session is to discuss and advance the EWG priority setting exercise around the 4 areas the EWG has established.  Invited guests will open the session by presenting experiences similar in nature and as follows:

1) setting wheat research priorities in Canada

2) the development of the International Wheat Yield Partnershihp

3) information from the WI funding EWG, who can facilitate our EWG in establishing a coordinated call for research among member countries

Each priority area has at least two Champions, and Brian Beres is asking each to come prepared to discuss their respective area with respect to opportunities or existing knowledge gaps.

The afternoon session will be devoted to the recently funded yield gap project for the USA and Canada.  Feel free to attend even if you are not involved, and please circulate this notice to any individuals or organizations you feel may be interested.

The workshop is part of the Wheat Initiative IWC satellite meetings and workshops https://www.wheatinitiative.org/iwc-satellite-meetings
