The International Wheat Congress (IWC) was merged from two original international wheat conferences, the International Wheat Genetics Symposium and the International Wheat Conference. It serves as an important gathering for the global wheat community, providing a platform for leading experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss advancements in the field of wheat breeding, genetics, genomics, and agronomy.
The IWC is a biennial event (find history here) , the 3rd edition 2024 was held in Perth, Australia.
The IWC2026Bologna will provide a key opportunity for the global wheat community to gather, share knowledge and discuss advancements in agronomy, genetics, genomics and breeding of wheat.
