The Congreso Nacional de Trigo (National Wheat Congress) was first held in 1986, and was later joined by the National Symposium on Autumn-Winter Cereal Crops and the Mercosur Meeting.

The upcoming edition, in 2026, to be held in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, is their 40th anniversary. The 2026 it will be a forum for scientific and technological updates, focusing primarily on increasing productivity and ensuring its stability, as well as improving commercial and industrial quality, from a range of disciplines, whilst incorporating new technologies and management alternatives.
