Our Expert Working Group on Wheat Agronomy presents:
Restoring agronomy’s role in wheat production systems
How do we explicitly restore agronomy as the science that connects G×E×M×S, rather than leaving it as just “the M”? What structural or cultural shifts are needed within research systems? And how do we better connect efforts globally, building capacity in agronomy.
Kenton Poker and Romulo Lollato will provide a brief presentation with an overview of the Agronomy EWG recent developments and activities, as well as discuss future directions and planned activities. The remaining meeting, discussing the role of agronomy in wheat production systems, will follow a roundtable discussion format rather than presentations, which will help the group plan future strategies for the WI agronomy EWG.
