Durum for the future farmer and value chain at 4th International Wheat Congress, Bologna, Italy

The Meeting of the Expert Working Group on Durum Wheat Genomics and Breeding aims to assess the progress over the last 30 years and develop a roadmap for the future.

The meeting will design the ideal durum wheat variety for future climatic scenarios and value chain requirements through an open discussion on heat and drought tolerance and how it can help the crops’ value chains.

All EWG members are invited to share their experience of selecting novel, more resilient varieties that fulfil the requirements of their value chains.

Updates on ongoing activities, such as FHB ring trials and GDP phenotyping, will also be presented.
