This workshop, held within the Annual Meeting of the EWG on Wheat Phenotyping of the Wheat Initiative, will provide a snapshot of current developments and future directions in wheat phenotyping, bringing together early-career and senior researchers.

The session will touch on emerging themes such as digital twins, artificial intelligence, and modelling, highlighting their potential to enhance data integration, crop understanding, and decision-making in breeding and management. It will also open discussion on future EWG activities and priorities.

Overall, the workshop aims to encourage exchange and collaboration toward next-generation phenotyping approaches for wheat improvement.
